About the Pokémon

Mr. Mime is the Barrier Pokémon, recorded as No. 122 in the National Pokédex. It was introduced in Generation I, associated with the Kanto generation of games. Its miming behaviour is central to its distinctive character. It evolves from Mime Jr..

About the Expansion

Pokémon Jungle arrived in Japan on 5 March 1997 as the second main expansion. Its 48-card checklist expanded the original Kanto selection with Pokémon including Eevee's evolutions and Snorlax. These Japanese cards retain the original Pocket Monsters back and predate the differently structured English Jungle release of 1999.

Artwork & Collector's Notes

Ken Sugimori is credited for this Pokémon Jungle illustration of Mr. Mime. The holofoil finish, original Pocket Monsters reverse and Japanese text identify this printing. The No. 122 identifier is a Pokédex number, not an English set checklist position.
